For Pete, Coastal Colorectal is about setting a new standard in patient-centred care – an easy and welcoming experience where patients and their families can expect exceptional medical care and a great bedside manner that accommodates their beliefs and individual circumstances.
Pete trained in medicine at University College London and completed general surgical training in the UK. He has since gone on to complete specialist colorectal training in the UK and Australia. Pete is an active clinical researcher, with an Adjunct Associate Professor position at the University of Western Australia, and a senior research position in the Gastrointestinal Research Group at Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI).
His special interests in colorectal surgery include bowel cancer screening, conditions of the anal canal and pilonidal disease.
